LA metal band Through The Oculus signs with Metal Assault Records

Metal Assault Records is pleased to announce its newest signing, a fast-rising, highly promising heavy metal band based out of the Los Angeles area. 

Through The Oculus is a very new band, but the kind of band that has all it takes to make a long-lasting impact upon first impression itself. Channeling a wide variety of musical styles and influences within the hard rock and heavy metal spectrum and presenting a unique sound, the band's debut album is tremendously dynamic, and the live show is just as powerful.

Being exactly the kind of band this label is constantly seeking to work with for the long haul, Through The Oculus has landed a deal with MAR. The label will be releasing the band's self-titled full-length album, TTO, on CD and digital platforms on June 4 2021. Pre-orders for the CD and merch bundles will be launched on May 7, along with the premiere of a new music video for the song, "Order of The Eye". In the meantime, readers are strongly encouraged to watch one of the band's existing music videos, for the stunning album opener, "Lilith & Lazarus":

Through The Oculus was created with a vision by Randy Blount and Lauren Weatherford to be a unique band that fits all metal styles into one. In August of 2019, Randy was on the hunt for a lead vocalist. After lots of searching, one of his best friends showed him a video of Sarah Gamblin singing a cover song, and not even half way through the song, Randy decided that she is the perfect fit. So after a great meeting between the three they decided they are ready to find the last piece to the puzzle.

Finding Eric Freeman to play drums was quite simple for the fact Randy and Eric work together and share the same interests in music. It also took one time of Randy and Eric jamming together to know that they are ready to create music as a whole.

Within a year from the band's lineup solidifying, they completed their debut full-length album and released three music videos. Through The Oculus has performed at well-known venues such as The Viper Room, Whisky a Go Go, Adelanto Stadium. Drive and determination is going to take Through the Oculus to new levels.
